And So They Wait

Lacking wings, the humans built the machines. Machines to take them around the world.

On wings of metal they soared. For work and for play. For reasons happy and sad. From one end to the other and back again.

But then, the humans got sick. And they did not soar anymore.

And so they wait. For the day to come when the humans will soar again.

Because the machines know, the humans will.
